A note from True Nature founder and owner, Pat York:
Rekindling Connection in a Post-Pandemic World
As we move through this post-pandemic era, we're witnessing a gradual return to the joy of community. The pandemic led many of us to turn inward, relinquishing the gatherings that once connected us. But at True Nature Holistic Arts, we're beginning to see a beautiful reawakening, particularly in our yoga classes. Yoga, beyond being a physical practice, offers a sanctuary—a space where we can breathe deeply, trust fully, and relax into our bodies, knowing our instructors are guiding us with care and expertise.
Practicing alongside others in our classes fosters a unique sense of support and connection. It sustains us, challenges us, and holds us accountable, reminding us that we’re not alone on this journey. As we approach the end of August, we celebrate five months since opening and the steady formation of a vibrant yoga community. The bonds we’re building, through shared practice and genuine friendship, are something we deeply cherish.
With the shift from summer's warmth to autumn, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our members for co-creating this holistic wellness community. This is a significant achievement! Practicing yoga and other holistic arts in community extends far beyond the studio walls. Together, we're cultivating a space that enhances our well-being, strengthens our families, and positively impacts society.
If you’re new to our community, we warmly invite you to join us in September. Explore our free programs, participate in our beginner yoga workshop, or take advantage of our introductory first-month rate of unlimited yoga and sound for $59. Together, let's continue building a supportive and thriving community at True Nature.

True nature in july
Hello to Our Wonderful True Nature Community!
We hope this message finds you well and full of positive energy. We are thrilled to share highlights of International Yoga Day with you. The celebration was nothing short of magical, bringing together over 40 people for a powerful event centered around 108 sun salutations. It was a beautiful hot day filled with unity, mindfulness, and the spirit of yoga in front of beautiful Shryock Auditorium at SIU.
Children, seniors, and yogis from Southern Illinois studios came together to create an atmosphere of support and community. Seven Instructors led several sun salutations each while we practiced on mats or chairs. Collaborators generously provided water, yoga mats, chairs, the sound system, a tent as well as positive intentions for the summer solstice.
